Anglers venturing offshore have been picking up small black marlin to around 70kg, on trolled Pakula Cockroaches and other similar sized skirted lures, between the Seaway and the Jumpinpin Bar, in 30 to 50 metres of water.

Dolphin fish to around 8 kilos were also caught this week on Uzi's and other small skirted lures, in the same regions.

Spotted mackerel catches this week and over the past couple of weeks have been real patchy. The season hasn't really fired yet. The only catches have been in one's and two's off Mermaid Reef.

Anglers fishing the Broadwater over the past week have been catching some nice flathead, drifting the north wall of the Seaway, using pillies and live baits.
